Waxing Questions

Everything you need to feel prepared

How should I prepare for my waxing appointment?

Allow the hair to grow to approximately one-quarter of an inch, or about the length of a grain of rice. Gently exfoliate beforehand and avoid applying heavy lotions or oils on the day of your appointment.

A bikini wax removes hair along the edges outside the swimsuit line, whereas a Brazilian wax removes all (or nearly all) pubic hair from the front, back, and everywhere in between.

Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (roughly the size of a grain of rice) so the wax can properly grip it.

Yes, it causes a brief stinging sensation because hair is pulled from the root, but the discomfort is quick and gets milder with regular sessions.

Yes, you can wax while on your period as long as you wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup, though your skin may feel slightly more sensitive due to hormones.

How long does my hair need to be for waxing?

Aim for about ¼ inch of growth, or roughly the length of a grain of rice. This is usually around two to three weeks after shaving. Longer is better, and any excess length can be trimmed if needed.

Yes, you can. Simply arrive with a fresh tampon or menstrual cup in place. Skin may feel a little more sensitive during this time, so the service could feel slightly more uncomfortable than usual.

Yes, waxing is generally safe during pregnancy, including Brazilian waxing. Pregnancy can make the skin more sensitive, so be sure to mention it before the service so extra care can be taken to keep you comfortable.

Waxing may be a great option if you want longer-lasting smoothness, finer regrowth, and fewer shaving-related bumps. Every client is different, so questions are always welcome before booking.
